East Coast-Mid-Atlantic-Southern New England-Ernesto?! IP: 204.60.152.34 Posted on August 28, 2006 at 03:04:43 PM by Layton
Well, a few days ago most models had Ernesto into the gulf coast without a doubt-however there was one model which I believe was the GFDL that had it veering to the right after Cuba. (see my blog below)It will now be interesting to see how Ernesto impacts the east coast. Some tracks keep it North along east coast until the Carolinas then moving west and others have it moving west at the midatlantic states. If someone gets a chance-check out accuweather.com and go into the blogs area under community at the top.Click on Elliot Abrams who is the Northeast expert and look for the blog that says Labor day hurricane 2006. VERY INTERESTING to note that some models back on 8-17-06 (15 day forecast)predict a hurricane coming right up the east coast into southern new england in 15 days from 8-17. VERY strange how this model has picked up Ernesto-when you figure out the timing of where Ernesto will be by Thursday- the model is similiar. We will have to watch!!!! Replies:
